This is the concept art created for Dodge this’ is an interactive project created by Patrick Rhoden. The over all aim of the project was to create interactive panels, where gallery goers would be able to interact with the chosen footage. The project was also hoping to extend further by allowing gallery goers to upload video clips via mobile phone to create more personal interactive experience.
The project brief was to create the concept art to show how the final project might look. I had to first create a basic prototype gallery to show possible funders, how it might look within a gallery space. This then lead to me creating another series of concept art for the London metropolitan university basement gallery, were a mini version of the project would be held. After the mini show, I had to create a final series of concept art for Rivington Place in London. As Rivington Place is both gallery and movie space, the curators wanted a clear idea of how it might look in both locations.
The gallery concept art and the ‘Dodge This” storyboards were both created as working prototypes and as illustrative pieces. These all formed a book documenting the project development and prints, all were used in the final show.
