‘Dodge this’ is an interactive music video created by Patrick Rhoden in response to concepts of interactivity between human and machine. This also focused on the ever blurring forms of the ‘real’ and a ‘hyper real’ and it’s effects. The over all aim of the project was to act as a prototype for a future project were gallery goers would be able to upload video clips via mobile phone to create more personal interactive experience.

The project brief for this was to create a storyboard for ‘Dodge this’ as both a working storyboard but also to illustrative piece. The final storyboards were designed to mimic a comic book in both it’s layout and colouring. These were later printed on both A3 transparency and matte paper and used in the final show.

Desdemona Night is an paper cut-out style animation about how time and the environment are never on your side.
When this project started it was a traditional hand drawn animation, but through my love of patterns, William Morris and all things paper related, it took on a new lease of life.

This project allowed me to really play around with random imagery and continue my love affair with paper. It was a long, hard struggle creating this animation, but I loved every minute of it and would do it again
